Platte County is submitting for a federal grant to reconstruct Waukomis south of Englewood Road. While we know that everyone is tired of construction with the project in front of the school going on, it would be nice in a few years to extend those improvements all the way down to Vivion Road.

The proposed project would rebuild the street as a two lane street with bike lanes and build a 10 foot trail on the west side and a five foot sidewalk on the east side. This would allow people in the Englewood Apartments and in Northmoor to safely walk to school using the trail and sidewalk.

It would also improve the street lighting and make it an urban street with curbs.
