We have received from inquiries about an off taste in the water. We receive our water from Kansas City. We reached out to them, please see their response below.
The source of Kansas City’s drinking water is the Missouri River with its ever-changing river conditions such as multiple tributary flows from farther upstream, temperature swings, and too much or no rain. Each of these can affect our tap water. Please know we test the water multiple times a day at the treatment plant and throughout our 2,800 miles of distribution system. From these tests and customer calls we make treatment modifications as necessary to adjust treatment. Our water continues to meet all safety standards and is safe to drink. Be assured we are listening to our customers and we are working to determine what treatment changes are needed.
