Reminding all residents that by city ordinance, all dogs living within the city limits must be licensed annually, with renewals due by July. At this time only half of the households known to have dogs have renewed, so due to the unusually low compliance Codes Enforcement has begun writing citations.

If you forgot to renew this summer, please stop by City Hall during business hours and we’ll get it taken care of for you. For each dog you will need:

• A current rabies certificate
• A photo of the pet
• $10 renewal fee for spayed/neutered pets ($50 for intact dogs)
