Our new tornado siren has gone up, located atop the hill behind Silver Eagle Auto Mall.

It was very fortunate that no one was seriously hurt when the May 4, 2003 tornado damaged or destroyed 11 homes as it carved a swath of destruction through the center of Northmoor. Nothing can stop a tornado, but this hilltop location should ensure that all residents of Northmoor will be able to hear the siren and take shelter in time that we can hopefully have the same good outcome if a similar catastrophe ever strikes again.
